Built to change the nature of grocery e-commerce globally, our custom-designed solutions are uniquely capable of meeting the complex and developing expectations of shoppers, while driving better productivity, greater flexibility, and higher margins for grocery retailers online.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

One of the areas DataArt’s experts helps the client is the development of an exceptional set of solutions for operating online grocery businesses. They are entirely based on cloud solutions, and everything is hosted on AWS. The custom-designed solutions are individually capable of meeting shoppers' complex and growing expectations while driving better capacity and delivering greater resilience for online grocery retailers. These achievements have been proven in one of the world’s busiest markets for online groceries. To achieve this, the team uses cutting-edge technologies and when that’s not enough, we push the boundaries of what’s possible.

The main goals of the projects are: to develop new features, keep the system reliable and resilient, reduce risks, and improve performance to deliver the best service in the e-commerce pricing and promotions area.

TEAM

We are looking for engineering talents to reinforce our 200+ people team from Great Britain, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, Ukraine, Armenia, and Georgia. Our team is developing solutions in e-commerce, robotics, warehouse automatization, and mobile domains. We use modern approaches, such as microservices, clouds, and SRE.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a specialist who likes functional programming, who is ready to provide a broad vision of the product that the teams care for, and who is ready to communicate well and dig into the business domain.

You will work with a team that cares about high technology and code standards and follows the best software development practices.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Scala (frameworks: aka/play)
• Any production experience with AWS
• Good communication skills and English level
• Good level of autonomy

Nice to have

• Experience working with Java
• Python programming experience
• Experience with AWS: SNS/SQS, RDS, ECS
• An understanding of SRE
