Middle/Senior Java Back-end Developer (Relocation to the Czech Republic, Prague)

Project:

You will be a part of a Mobile App Team at Digital Banking

Cluster. The award-winning banking apps were recently relaunched

from scratch and are ranked among the best banking apps.

Our world-class financial products are being developed in an

agile setup with a modern CI/CD tech setup. The cross-

functional teams are mixed with the most talented colleagues

in Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

What you will do:

·Collaborate closely with Product Owner, business analysts and

other developers of the team to design solutions with complex

business requirements

·Implementation of software solutions for developing a suite of

small microservices

·Develop REST APIs and other backend components primarily with

Java and Springboot

·Apply coding & security best practices and Commerzbank's

internal programming guidelines

·Conduct code reviews, unit tests and integration tests for the

developed software components

·Supporting the application operations and test engineers of the

team if needed

·Defect fixing and maintenance of the application i.e., resolution of

production problems/incidents

·Prepare documentation for the developed software based on

Commerzbank's internal Software Engineering Framework

guidelines

What qualifies you for the role:

·Extensive job experience as a Java/J2EE developer

·Knowledge of software development lifecycle, design patterns,

architecture principles (microservices, event-driven architecture),

architectural styles (REST)

·Experience with frameworks such as Springboot, Hibernate

·Experience with Maven, version control systems (Bitbucket/Git),

CI/CD tools (Teamcity/Jenkins)

·Knowledge of static code analysis tools (SonarQube/Fortify) is an

added advantage

·Knowledge/hands-on experience with microservices,

containerization (docker) & cloud computing (preferably Google

Cloud)

·Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL

or Oracle.

·Knowledge in Cloud Datawarehouses such as Google

BigQuery is an added advantage

·Willingness to learn new skills/technologies

·Good team player (geographically distributed team)

·Good English communication skills - written and spoken.
