Job Description:

The position is within Reliability Engineering Group. Reports to Pipeline Integrity Supervisor and Lead Field Inspector.

The main job responsibilities include the following:

- Responsible for conducting visual inspections on Field and Off plot pipelines and process piping. Provides input to ROAIMS and Capstone database on Inspection and Planning.

- Monitors and reports the technical condition and safe operation of piggable and unpiggable pipelines by evaluating design, process conditions and inspection data.

- Evaluates equipment integrity and corrosion trends for indications of equipment degradation (wearing) and potential failures. Recommends remedial actions and develops future inspection strategies and plans.

- Capable to determine and evaluate corrosion mechanisms and solve problems related to equipment reliability.

- Participates in Hazop’s for pipelines.

- Initiates routine work procedures and becomes proactive on non-routine work processes.

- Participates in OE (Operational Excellence) processes and recommends process improvements.

- Responsible for the Implementation of TCO Program, TCO Inspection strategies, Chevron best practices and procedures.

- Determines inspection and non-destructive examination work scope, participates in turnaround scope development when necessary.

- Recommends on equipment repair and quality control plans.

- Maintains accurate, detailed and quantitative record keeping of inspection events both Electronic and physical. Maintains and updates records made in pipeline and piping documentation.

- Monitors all Field modifications and repair work for Quality and specification compliance.

- Teaches and develops the skills of less experienced members of the group.

Job Specification and requirements:

- Knowledge of TCO safe practices, JSA, BBS, Permit to Work, etc.

- Knowledge of the main inspection and NDE work scope.

- Knowledge of basic design philosophy and main components of Field and Off plot pipelines.

- Ability to evaluate corrosion damages affecting pipelines and determine their possible cause, along with measures that can prevent further development of corrosion damage.

- Knowledge of principles and methods of risk assessment.

- General knowledge of API/ASME standards, as well as RoK state standards and codes relating to vessel and pipeline inspection.

- Basic knowledge of English language (TCO Level 1 – 3), (knowledge of terminology).

- Team player and capable to find solutions.

Required:

- Higher technical education (Mechanical Engineer/bachelor’s degree, Materials Engineer/bachelor’s degree, Process Engineer/bachelor’s degree, etc.).

- 5 years minimum experience in fixed equipment (pipelines) technical inspection / repair / NDE.

- Deep knowledge and practical work experience in fixed equipment inspection, repair, NDE.

- Beginner to Intermediate English level (TCO Level 1-3).

- Experienced in inspection databases such as Capstone/ROAIMS; user of PC and MS Office applications, E1 database, STARS, TED-D.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of fixed process equipment damage and corrosion mechanisms.

- Knowledge and work experience of different types of protective coating. Types and procedures of coating application, as well as inspection of coatings used to protect fixed equipment.

- Good organizational and planning skills.

- Leader, inner motivated, strong skills in teamwork.

- Various technical skills and capable to sort out complex job-related problems.
