IBI is currently looking for a Communications/ Learning Specialist for an upcoming USAID-Monitoring and Learning Support project in Ukraine

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Ukraine Monitoring and Learning Support personnel, short-term personnel, and stakeholders to manage the realization of that plan throughout the life of the project.
• The Communications Expert will take the lead in managing project communications and deliverables and utilizing existing on-line gateways to disseminate knowledge generated through deliverables.
• The Communications Expert will work with USAID to define audiences and how best to reach them.
• Manages communications affairs by formulating, developing and implementing assertive annual communications plans, tools and strategies that respond appropriately to the Initiative’s communications needs and expected results accordingly with the Initiative’s Work Plans.
• Lead the communication strategy of the USAID Monitoring and Learning Initiative.
• Produce, edit and translate outreach material, institutional documentation, and USAID reports.
• Develop and write clear and concise case studies, success stories, reports and publications, especially for USAID.
• Ensure compliance with USAID's communications and public affairs regulations.
• Develop the project overall communications strategy.

• Key Qualifications:

• A Degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field.
• Approximately five (5) or more years of relevant working experience in strategic communications or community and public outreach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to write persuasive proposals and reports.
• Experience drafting and clearing speeches and talking points, press releases, fact sheets, blogs, articles, PowerPoints, presentations and other public documents.
• Significant experience related to community engagement, communications and outreach, and capacity building;
• Experience with USAID or Background in working with USAID or on USAID projects including having knowledge of USAID rules and regulations;
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian
• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible, professional experience in organizational or action learning, development, consulting and/or knowledge management is expected
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with institutional, government, and private sector partners and stakeholders
• Experience developing results frameworks, logical frameworks, or similar tools for project design are required
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner
• Oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with mid and high level partner contacts, the host government, and the local communities
• Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet programs and data base development and management
