Project Coordinator (Kharkiv)

The project Vocational Qualification of Internally Displaced Persons aims at improving employability of IDPs with a focus on six Oblasts in Eastern Ukraine. It includes short and medium term qualification measures as well as establishment of cooperation between public sector, private sector and civil society in this area.

Area of responsibilities

• Coordinating project activities in the field of short and medium term qualification for IDPs
• Liaising with project partners mainly on Oblast level to plan and implement project activities.
• Initiating and managing a regional dialogue of partners from public and private sector as well as civil society.
• Preparing and implementing project activities such as expert mission, workshops, conference, subsidies etc.
• Elaboration of technical documents for project activities.
• Following-up on projects results and knowledge management with the project office in Kyiv.

  Requirements to candidates

• Master’s Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification preferably with a focus on labour market and employment promotion
• At least 5 years of professional experience in employment promotion and/or vocational training.
• Ability to work in a political environment.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining business relations, strong communication skills.
• Good knowledge of English language. Russian and Ukrainian are required. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of ICT technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
• Experienced to work in an international team
• Good self-organisation skills
• Customer and service-oriented attitude
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed
• Ability to work under pressure

Employment conditions

Full-time position with 40-hours working week until end of May 2019.

Regular travel to the project areas is required.
