Scope of work:

• Liaising with Operations Managers/Supervisors to develop and implement Site and Project specific HSEQ Plans.
• Liaising regularly with HSEQ Manager on HSEQ matters and submit Monthly HSEQ Report, providing updates on performance; initiatives; safety training and other information to the central HSEQ Coordinator for the region.
• Contribute to the “New Start” and “Visitor” induction process - delivery of HSE elements.
• Supporting operations management - regular site visits to all operational locations for the purpose of carrying out HSEQ Audits and Inspections.
• Participating in improvement programs and implementing change.
• Assisting operations teams in conducting risk/manual handling assessments.
• Developing sound working relationships and cooperate with Clients and others such as Legislators; Registration Body’s during Audits, Verifications and Assessments.
• Participating in Accident/Incident Investigation as a root cause analysis specialist
• Lead by example and communicate to all of their personnel that safe work and safe operations is an absolute requirement and not just an option.
• Intervening whenever they see a violation and holding a one to one discussion.
• Taking part in Workplace Safety Reviews and observation programs on a regular basis and reporting findings to the HSEQ Department.
• Ensuring that HSEQ risks in their business area are assessed, documented and that the control measures are communicated effectively to the workforce to prevent accidents and pollution.
• Ensuring that any incidents in their business area are reported immediately and thoroughly investigated.
• Seeking the advice and guidance of the HSEQ Director to address any potential or actual issues.
• Ensuring that any spills are dealt with by prompt emergency response to prevent pollution from reaching ground water and are reported promptly to the HSEQ Department.

• Verifying that their team members follow current policies and procedures for HSE&Q.
• Identifying and reporting non–compliance with policies and procedures and assisting in resolving the issues in a timely manner.

• Participating in improvement programs and implementing change.
• Attending Industry/Client arranged meetings and seminars in relation to aspects of HSEQ.

Requirements:

• Higher education
• Work experience at least 3 years in similar positions
