Baanx is building digital assets services for every business. Top crypto businesses partner with Baanx for 20% of the world's cryptocurrency. We provide our services in the United States and Europe to many millions of customers.

Baanx is working on Crypto-as-a-Service Digital Banking and Digital Asset Lending services for our clients. We deliver full platforms for some of the world's biggest / leading firms in the Crypto space - cards / lending / remittance / wallets / exchange.

As an experienced Software Architect, you will lead the software design effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, dynamic environment. You will be working to keep our software technology aligned with the business’s strategic vision. You will work across multiple engineering teams to ensure the development of scalable products and the technical success of the teams.

Responsibilities

• Detail out and refine higher-level architecture decisions into a lower-level design

• Communicate the technical vision to the engineering teams

• Overlook and support the work of the teams to ensure that the architecture decisions are being executed and the teams are following coding standards and architecture guidelines

• Lead implementation of technical and infrastructure initiatives to support architecture decisions

• Consult the engineering team with ongoing projects. Help them align solutions with the Baanx architecture vision and industry best practices. Make software design (application-level) decisions with the team, take software architecture topics for further consideration and unification

• Ensure technical knowledge sharing between development teams on related or similar projects

• Proactively identify technical debt and product areas that require attention or improvement at the architecture level

Requirements

• 6+ of proven experience as Software Architect or Senior Software Developer

• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture

• Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods

• Excellent experience with NodeJS

• Hands-on experience with any of the public cloud platforms (Amazon, Azure, GCP)

• Hands-on experience with relational storage platforms

• Experience with integration and deployment models

• Understanding of software quality assurance principles

• A technical mindset with great attention to detail

• High quality organizational and leadership skills

• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.)

• Excellent social and communication skills

• Upper intermediate or higher level of English

Desirable experience

• Experience in working under the FinTech and crypto related projects

• Experience with integration with Crypto custodians, Exchanges, Card providers and etc

• Experience with the serverless approaches using AWS Lambda

• Knowledge of microservice architecture

• Experience with PHP / Laravel / Laravel Forge

Personal skills required

• Experience with agile development methods

• Effective in team environment

• Enthusiastic, self-starter and highly self-motivated

• Attention to details
