About the role

We're looking for a Head of Operations to oversee our ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of the business across the US, UK and Europe.

You'll be reporting only to the company co-founders. You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader.

The current team consists of 35+ ppl across the world and we're going to increase this size at least twice by the end of 2022. So, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to join us at the beginning of the Locals.org journey! Also, we are eager to assist in your relocation to Cyprus.

Areas of responsibilities:

• Design and implement business policies and procedures
• International Tax and Legal risks management
• Product support (risks, policies, legal)
• IP protection strategy
• Contract management
• Budgeting &Planning
• Fundraising assistance
• Investors relationships
• Financial modelling
• Audit&Accounting control
• International business structure support

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a high-growth, small to mid-size business, or startup organisation, preferably at a technology company
• Past experience in building Legal and Financial functions from scratch
• Strong organisational and time management skills to implement initiatives from concept to execution, prioritising and delegating as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats to get the job done
• Proven ability to develop strategies and effectively communicate recommendations across the company
• You must be a leader who is able to help others deliver measurable, cost-effective, and high-impact results that make Locals’ organisational vision a reality
• High English Proficiency
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional and multinational teams
• Project Management degree or skills
• Is comfortable leading operations for a partially distributed/remote team
