We are looking for a talented Test Engineer to join Avid’s Platform Engineering Team. You will be supporting the cloud and on premise testing and supporting of the Avid Platform as part of the Avid Everywhere strategy.

As a key member of Cloud Engineering, you will be part of a team of highly motivated engineers and software QA working in an efficient Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate will have minimal experience and good theoretical knowledge of testing, have minimal programming experience and willing to learn new technologies.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• BS/BA in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Practical experience with Bash, Java or Groovy (Candidate will be asked to resolve simple programming task).
• Linux user experience.
• Good investigation, problem solving skills
• English – good written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of the testing methodology and approaches
• Familiarity with test frameworks (Selenium)

This position will be responsible for delivering against the following objectives:

• Contribute into UI framework testing.
• Create scripts, integration and automated tests to ensure product quality.
• Participate in the CI/CD pipelines building and support.
• Work in cooperation with teams to help troubleshooting issues and testing during upgrade and daily operations.
