Term of reference for the visit of an international consultant to Kazakhstan (Atyrau region)

to assess the situation with Tuberculosis and discuss proposals with partners for a new application

Name of the Project:

"Implementation of highly effective measures for the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis among children and adolescents in Atyrau and Zhylyoi district."

Objective of the Project:

Improving the prevention of Tuberculosis among children and adolescents in the city of Atyrau and the Zhylyoi district of the Atyrau region.

The period of the project is January 15, 2021 - December 31, 2021

Expected responsibilities of the consultant's visit to the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan:

• review of program documentation, plans, reports, and achievements

• participation in the Round table on the assessment of the interim results of the current project with the participation of the leadership of the Atyrau region and the sponsor organization Tengizchevroil LLP;

• coordination of the project at the international level and improvement of intersectoral cooperation;

• planning of promising directions for further work of the project with the financial support of Tengizchevroil LLP.

• Develop recommendations for further improvements in program implementation and identify appropriate interventions for a next phase of the program.

Requirements for a consultant:

• experience in implementing projects in the national anti-tuberculosis program of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Medical doctor or other health professional in the TB field

• fluency in Russian;

• interpersonal communication skills.

Duration of visit:

3 working days (in August 2021). The dates will be confirmed
