Leading eCommerce is seeking a JavaScript Developer to design and develop applications for their desktop and mobile websites, ensuring that they have the capability to meet the company's growing demand. You will have the freedom to choose the best tool for each job and make recommendations for improvements whilst learning new skills along the way. This is a unique opportunity to explore the benefits of functional programming within a large, complex production codebase.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain modern interfaces;
• Contribute ideas through your knowledge of evolving front-end technologies;
• Communicate with developers, designers and customers;

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

• Good knowledge of JavaScript and other related front end technologies such as HTML5 CSS3
• Familiar with at least one MVC framework (ideally React)
• 3+ years of experience coding user interfaces for web sites and/or web applications
• Passion of delivering high performance, detailed oriented, testable, quality code
• Understanding of modern communication media, social networking, and search engine marketing
• Ability to multitask, handle fast paced environment, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with APIs, Node.js, require.js, bower, grunt, github
• Researching, studying and using innovative open-source technologies
• Open source code or example projects that you're proud to share
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Stash
