Interns for International Leadership Development Programme MGU (Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine), Payed Intership in Europe

Public Joint Stock Company “MAHISTRALNI GAZOPROVODY UKRAINY” (MGU or Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine) is actively preparing for unbundling. In anticipation of becoming a fully-fledged Transmission System Operator (TSO) of Ukraine at the start of 2020 it is keenly aware of the need to further invest in development of the talent pool of future managers of the unbundled TSO.

In order to do this MGU in partnership with ODGERS BERNDTSON (World leader in Executive search and International recruitment company that provides an integrated approach to leadership selection and development) is commencing an MGU International Leadership Programme in cooperation with a number of European Transmission System Operators.

The objective of the Internship Programme is to develop future leaders of the Ukrainian gas sector by providing international work and training placement opportunities at European TSOs for young Ukrainians. MGU has secured offers of such placements from a number of European TSO in several countries.

In a first phase MGU with recruitment consultancy of ODGERS BERNDTSON is looking to select 10 Leadership Interns for the initial placement round.

We anticipate that the MGU Leadership Intern will start the programme with a 2 week induction process within MGU, then will travel for 6-9 months placement with one of the European TSOs where it will experience working with different functional areas in the receiving company, then the intern will return back to MGU and will be assigned to a high-profile special project to put their learning into practice within the Ukrainian context.

After the completion of the programme all successful interns would be offered to apply for permanent roles within MGU. This is a paid traineeship programme with financial package, being offered by a hosting TSO.

The MGU leadership intern will be selected through an open competition process with European TSO participating in the selection process.

We would like to hear from you if you meet the following selection criteria:

• interest in contributing to the reform of the Ukrainian gas sector and interest in the sector,
• University education (commercial/legal/technical),
• 1-5 years of working experience (experience in energy sector is useful but not essential),
• fluency in English, knowledge of other European languages (German, French, Italian, Dutch, Slovak, Polish) is a plus,
• demonstrate interest in learning,
• leadership skills,
• and passion for contributing to the development of Ukraine.

The language of application should be English however you can use other languages as well to demonstrate your fluency in them.
