We are currently looking for a professional Chief Accountant for our recently acquired factory located in Western Ukraine. This organization belongs now to a publicly listed group and is exporting products to Europe and CIS. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for efficient workflow in the Accounting Department, ensure bookkeeping and reporting according to Ukrainian legislation, provide corporate business reporting according to IFRS. The Chief Accountant will report directly to General Manager and functionally to the Group Chief Finance Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accounting and timely tax reporting according to Ukrainian legislation (2 legal entities).
• Supervise payroll for nearly 1500 employees.
• Communication with authorities, passing audits and inspections.
• Lead and develop Accounting Team (7 direct reports).
• IFRS reconciliations supervised by Group CFO (expatriate).
• Participation in audits conducted by investors’ representatives.
• Provide guidance and advice to Factory Management from taxation point of view.

Requirements:

• 3+ years hands-on Chief Accountant experience in production company (could be Deputy Chief Accountant experience in a bigger organization).
• Professional competence in Ukrainian accounting and taxation, 1C. Payroll and IFRS knowledge would be an advantage.
• Service mindset, critical thinking, complex problem-solving, prioritizing, ability to balance big picture and attention to detail.
• Leadership competence, ability to take ownership of the function and secure legislation compliance and internal stakeholders’ needs.
• Proven experience in improving core accounting processes.
• Ability to provide professional and personal development to own staff.
• Good communication skills, ability to cooperate effectively on all levels.
• English at Elementary level and good professional terminology level.
