About the company

“Al Hilal” Islamic Bank” JSC (Al Hilal Bank) was the first Islamic bank in Kazakhstan and in the CIS region, established in 2010 under the terms of an intergovernmental agreement between Kazakhstan and UAE. It is a subsidiary of Al Hilal Bank PJSC, one of the fastest growing and innovative UAE banks with 100% Government ownership in Abu Dhabi.

Al Hilal Bank PJSC has high investment-grade credit ratings from Fitch A+ and Moody’s A1, which proves the financial stability and reliability.

Al Hilal Bank PJSC was founded in 2008 by the Investment Council of Abu Dhabi, the investment arm of Abu Dhabi Government with the mission of providing innovative banking products and services in accordance with the principles and rules of the Sharia.

Responsibilites:

• Plan and control retail banking activities and resources in order to meet retail banking objectives.
• Assess market conditions, define, recommend, implement and monitor retail banking strategy in order to gain and sustain the bank’s competitive edge and results.
• Review control the branches operating costs within the budget in order to maintain cost control
• Develop, execute and manage retail strategy and tactical business plan, taking into account the market opportunity/growth potential, competitor activity, existing capabilities and risk appetite
• Assess, analyse, define, recommend, implement and follow up market intelligence, and marketing plans in order to meet retail banking strategic objectives
• Identify customer needs, initiate action and follow up in order to meet customer expectations

Minimum Requirements

• Extensive experience in the financial and banking sector and been part of a risk management team, preferably with an international bank with a focus on retail banking
• Good general knowledge of various banking operations and banking products/instruments
• Strong organizational and planning skills to be able to conceptualise and put into practice ideas
• Solid experience in heading the Retail department
• In-depth knowledge on analysis of Bank financials and other department functions in a bank.
• Ability to think strategically and assist in the organization and management of multi-nationality team
• Excellent innovative, marketing, communication, organizing and leadership skills
• University degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Banking, Finance or related field / equivalent experience
• Self-confidence to deal effectively at the highest levels
• Been a team player with the ability to motivate and lead
• Good business sense and the ability to develop an understanding of the bank’s products and dynamics in the market
• Have uncompromising ethics and the willingness to take a stand with line management on business decisions from a financial perspective and business conduct
• Must have outstanding PC and Software skills which to include Excel, Word and Power Point
