thebigword Defence team is currently recruiting for experienced Ukrainian linguists based in the following locations to work alongisde the Military,

• Odesa (Central location)
• Mykolaiv (Central location)
• Vasylkiv (Central Location)
• Lviv (Starychi, IPSC)

As well as full time positions, we are also looking for individuals who can offer on-call duties, some with 24 hours notice and others with 5 days notice to come on site.

You will be offered a full time contract for 3 months from the 1st June - 31st August 2018. There is always the possibility that the contracts can extend, this is dependent on the clients requirements and is not guaranteed. As a full time linguist you will carry out both interpreting and translation duties 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday - 8.5 hours per day. There may be requirements for the occasional Sunday to be covered but this will be discussed with you 48 hours prior.

Requirements

• Linguists must have a minimum of 1 years' professional experience as an Interpreter
• Live locally to the above locations and be able and prepared to commute daily
• You must be willing and able to take on the project for 3 months during the summer
• Ideally have some Military experience or have experience working for NGO's
• Recognized certificate verifying their language ability (English & Ukrainian) - University accreditation in Philology, English language studies, Military Language Academy, Diploma in Philology or recognised English Certificate.
• Offer fluent English
• Be prepared to start on the 1st June and undergo initial testing/security screening
