Reporting to: Deputy CFO

Responsibilities:

• Financial statements preparation: Prepare and analyze Profit and loss statements and cash flow statements. Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP.
• Compliance with deadlines: Ensure all financial reports are prepared and submitted within established deadlines. Coordinate with other departments to meet reporting timelines.
• Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health of the organization. Provide recommendations for improvement based on analysis.
• Variance analysis: Investigate and explain significant variances to management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting financial reporting.
• Process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes. Implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Data integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data used in reporting. Recommend controls to mitigate the risk of errors.
• Software utilization: Utilize company software and reporting tools to facilitate the preparation and analysis of financial reports. Stay proficient in the use of relevant accounting and reporting software.
• Continuous learning: Stay updated on industry best practices, changes in accounting standards, and advancements in financial reporting.

Skills:

• Data collection and analysis - Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to process and interpret large datasets.
• Database management - Maintain and update databases to ensure accuracy and reliability of data. Develop expertise in database systems.
• Report generation - Design, develop, and generate regular and ad-hoc reports for different departments or stakeholders. Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports using reporting tools.
• Quality assurance - Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by implementing data validation and quality assurance processes. Perform regular audits to identify and correct discrepancies in the data.
• Stakeholder management - Work closely with various departments and teams to understand reporting requirements.

Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• Professionally certified or in progress will be an asset (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA, etc)
• Advanced MS Excel skills for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting

Experience:

• Three to six years of experience as a financial analyst/accountant with an international company
• Knowledge of trucking and/or brokerage business specifics will be an advantage

Languages:

• Fluency in Russian is required
• Fluency in English will be an advantage

Other:

• Work schedule is per internal policies and procedures
