We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team based in Karshi. You will report to the Engineering manager and you will be responsible for executing assigned projects and achieving project goals in support of the business areas.
The Senior Project Engineer in UzGTL has a dual role as Project Development and Project Execution engineer:
- The PDE role requires leadership of a PDE team to define the scope and execution strategy of a project and compile cost estimates which are suitable for EAR (Expenditure Authorization Request) generation purposes, sales or contract extensions.
- The Project Execution Engineer leads a project team in defining and completing an agreed upon scope of supply from design through procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover. The Senior Project Engineer assumes ownership of the project budget, schedule, and technical quality to achieve the project and business objectives established at the start of the project. A typical project team consists of a matrixed organization of other Production specialist disciplines and design groups and may also include external contractors and consultants.
- Provide leadership in safety, cost, scope definition and execution.
- Provide technical point of contact to the business area for assigned projects.
- Execute projects as assigned to meet or exceed project schedule, budget, and quality requirements. This includes, as required by the specific project, performing and/or the coordination of resources to complete the design, procurement fabrication, installation, start-up and commissioning tasks.
- Report to management on project status.
- Directs and/or influences others to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Required a minimum of 10 years total relevant experience in managing plant modification projects on Gas/Oil operating plants, involving all project lifetime phases.
- Required relevant site construction supervision experience.
- Good command / effective operational proficiency in both Uzbek, Russian and English language.
- Broad general technical knowledge and principles, i.e. Process, Machinery, Electrical, PICS. Seasoned professional, technically astute.
- Adequate and timely coordination for members of the project to meet the project’s goals
- Ability of working within a team framework with other internal disciplines (e.g. accounting, purchasing, law department, commercial groups, etc.), and with external contacts (e.g. customers, contractors, legal entities, equipment vendors, etc.)
- Ability to communicate and work cross functionally inside of Air Products and customers.
