Junior Video Content Creator for Luba Yudasina - an innovative and inspiring California entrepreneur, blogger, and opera singer! (remote)

Today there are so many bloggers among us, and for many of us, this profession (yes, profession) has become something ordinary. This is who Luba Yudasina is - a blogger!

But not only Luba is a creator of entertainment and education (!) content but also an entrepreneur and opera singer (WOW!), who lives in the Bay Area, California. In her YouTube channel - Life of Luba - she talks about entrepreneurship, tech, and lifestyle. Luba also has an Instagram, where you can follow her journey! (Check her "Opera Singing" highlight, it's mesmerizing!).

However, Luba wasn't always a blogger and entrepreneur. At the age of 17, she left Belarus to study Chemical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Further, she had been working as a Software Engineer, Chief of Staff, and Product Manager for 6 years in tech companies like Airbnb and Yelp. Such a person to learn from!

Now, Luba and her ambitious team at Zarta consisting of 4 people are looking for a talented Junior Video Content Creator who will help with editing highlights/trailers for creator videos posted on their platform (a platform helping creators make more money by allowing them to sell their videos on a one-off basis) as well as creating youtube shorts for Luba’s personal podcasts!

What will you do?

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and editing video trailers on Zarta, which consist of highlights from videos uploaded by creators.

• Creating video shorts for YouTube and TikTok, and posting videos on these platforms.

• Editing video podcasts.

• Helping to create YouTube shorts/TikToks for Luba's podcast series and for creators' content on Zarta.

What will set you up for success?

• Having advanced English skills - you'll create all the content in English and the team communicates exclusively in English, so we expect you to have a minimum of an Advanced level, and for sure we don't want to hear or see any mistakes.

• Being skilled in video editing (with up to 2 years of experience with similar tasks).

• Strong understanding of YouTube and TikTok formats, both long-form and short-form content.

• Knowing how to hook an audience at the beginning of the video.

• Being a great storyteller to edit the most important parts of the video.

• Knowledge of video-editing and sound-editing software - you feel comfortable working with footage, selecting music and sounds, extracting voice-over, etc.

• Curiosity about the field of AI and confidence to make short-form content about it.

• Strong self-reliance skills - you’re a person who’s always on top of things. You can work independently with no need to be constantly supervised.

• Organizing skills - you know how to organize your time and tasks to work efficiently.

• Proactivity - you have a strong desire to help Luba and the team grow. You are open to new information and feedback.

• Creativity

Working hours:

You’ll need to adjust your schedule to have 1-4 overlapping working hours with Luba and the team in the morning San Francisco time (PST time zone). Click here to check the time difference.

What we offer:

• Part-time schedule (4 working hours per day, 5/2) with a potential shift to full-time (8 working hours per day, 5/2) in the not-yet-defined future. For this vacancy, we consider only senior last-year students, recent graduates, and other junior specialists who are able to meet the requirements of dedicating the needed amount of hours per day. Please note that we support your desire to combine this job with studies, however, we will not consider candidates planning to combine several jobs.

• Remote work. You may be located in any city, just need a good Internet connection.

• Stability - this is not an internship or project work, we consider only the candidates looking for a long-term commitment.
