Description

Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer shall have primary responsibility of ensuring project deliverables comply with company/client standards and specifications and be able to check and produce necessary documentation for Construction support of MAC scope in TCO Future Growth Project.

Accountability:

Develop all automation and controls engineering deliverables requirements for the assigned projects.

Basic Functions:

• Review P&IDs, I/O schedules, C&E diagrams, block diagrams, etc. prepared by others, prepare new / modification of existing PAS equipment scope and interact with client to finalize the scope.
• Prepare modification of existing PAS equipment engineering / vendor drawings.
• Develop Automation Work Packs.
• Defining scope for PAS modifications.

Principal Responsibilities:

Shall be conversant in Process Control/ESD/F&G philosophies/specifications, different type of instruments, I/O schedules, block diagrams, cause and effects, layouts, loop diagrams, etc.

Possessing technical knowledge on Honeywell, Allen Bradley and HIMA control systems.

Interact with site construction / commissioning / client team and resolve all technical problems

Ensure Safety in design and HSE requirements

Undertake checking and approval activities in accordance with company procedures.

Undertake internal QA checks on discipline activities and deliverables.

Assignments usually include the following – either directly or supervising:

Control theories and application

Control, safety system, FGS definition and engineering execution

Specification, procurement and detail design of Control and Safety Systems

Specification and procurement of bulk materials

Installation and commissioning work instructions and procedures

Qualifications:

• Technical degree preferred in relevant engineering subject, Instrumentation/Electrical/Automation.
• 3-6 years experience in control systems or
• 3-6 years in field instrumentation or
• 3-6 years experience in working in Construction and Commissioning sites.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Shall have practical experience and knowledge in one of more of the followings topics:
• Industrial safety
• Control/Safety/F&G knowledge;
• SPI concepts;
• Network and infrastructure concepts;
• Field Instrumentation;
• Factory Acceptance
• HVAC/UPS
