Job Purpose

Astound Commerce provides our talent with world-class learning and development. Astound Academy is seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist with recent relevant experience designing training for professionals in subjects that require high levels of understanding.

You are an instructional design professional who has recent relevant experience building asynchronous/synchronous hybrid learning programs. You know how to design evaluations and understand at an admin level at least one eLearning suite. Your goal is to join a world class team who will invest in best of class training that utilizes all of your skills and you want to be in an environment where you will grow professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with L&D and Functional Departments to build multiple types of programs:
  • Boot camps
  • Onboarding into departments
  • Continuous development
• Collaborate with SMEs to set training goals and to develop hybrid synchronous / asynchronous learning modules;
• Institute evaluation of training success:
  • Net promoter score / learner satisfaction
  • Measure change in behavior
  • Measure ROI
• Leverage work of consulting educators to develop re enforcement courses to support external training.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of working experience building hybrid synchronous/asynchronous courses taken remotely with 10 minute demo;
• Certification or equivalent knowledge in instructional design;
• Interpersonal skills that enable to work with people of all levels, inform and advise others clearly;
• Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management;
• Problem-solving and negotiation skills;
• Experience to effectively communicate with people of different cultures and levels of seniority;
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time;
• University Bachelor's degree or higher;
• Excellent verbal and written English;
• Experience working in a collaborative, positive environment with a service mindset.
