About us:
We're a residential design and construction company in Sydney, Australia and we are looking for a trainee to become part of our team. We are seeking Architects with residential architectural work experience to assist us in Design and Construction Drawings. The working schedule is flexible but we have deadlines.
The ideal candidate for this role should be a dedicated and reliable team player. You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager as well as work with our Marketing teams to produce high-quality architectural plans and 3Ds.
This is a part-time internship. A minimum of 20 hours each week is required.
What you will be doing:
- Have weekly calls with Senior Project Manager where he teaches you about Architectural Design, 3D modeling and more
- Learn to have full autonomy over the projects assigned to you
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment where you learn on actual cases what are the best practices in the industry right now
- Execute and help drive design plans accurately and on time
- Construction Administration
- Research and evaluate Design Code Policy for our clients
- Revit and CAD drafting of Construction Drawings. Knowledge of Photoshop, 3D rendering software is beneficial.
- Contribute to the creation of new designs
Who you are:
You must have good knowledge working with Revit and other 3D rendering software.
- A fast and creative individual with the ability to manage and balance multiple tasks
- Attention to detail, knowledge of the building code and competency with regard to understanding construction tectonics
- You have basic knowledge of Design and Construction Drawings
- You're well organized and have BS or BA in Architecture
- 3+ year students or recent graduates
- You have a problem-solver mindset with a can-do attitude
- You thrive in fast-paced environments
- You want to learn and grow with an exciting, mission-driven team
