Responsibilities:

Job title: Production Manager

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Subordinates: direct subordinates - 4 shift leaders and process engineer. Total quantity of production department – 60 employees.

• Performs management of the production and economic operations of the department.
• Systematically undertakes actions aimed at assurance of safe work environment, observance of rules and norms of work safety, industrial sanitation, fire safety rules, and for this purpose he monitors safety of the work premises, equipment, fencing, safety devices, etc.; timely provides the employees with work clothing and footwear, as well as with protective devices in accordance with the norms stipulated in the collective agreement.
• Ensures compliance of quality of the produced goods with the Elopak quality standards.3. Participates in development of plan targets on the types of products, standard sizes of manufactured die cuts and consumers.
• Communicates the plan targets to each unit and/or shift and demands their unconditional fulfillment arranging timely supply of the required main and auxiliary materials, accessories and components.
• Ensures smooth fulfillment of the plan targets and technical and economic indices.
• Manages technology improvement and industrial engineering work, complete use of the production facilities, rational equipment load during all work shifts.
• Ensures efficient use of raw materials and supplies, all types of power, as well as observance of the acceptable stocking norms for raw materials, semi-processed goods, components and production in process.
• Ensures technically appropriate operation of equipment, fulfillment of equipment retrofitting and repair schedules.
• Ensures implementation of technically justified production norms and revision of obsolete norms, supporting them with technical and organizational actions.
• Arranges for professional development of the key profession employees, promotes training in advanced work methods and techniques, and supports professional tutorship.
• Periodically checks the employees’ knowledge of work safety and industrial sanitation rules.
• Together with a committee, arranges investigation of accidents and develops accident prevention measures.
• Performs systematic management of the shift foremen’s work, communicates shift assignments to them and controls fulfillment of the assignments.
• Arranges and keeps the log of the main and auxiliary materials’ consumption, and of the whole assortment of manufactured products.
• Ensures the arrangement of time-keeping, control of workplace discipline at the department, observance of the internal work order rules by the workers; analyzes work time losses, undertakes measures toward reduction of such losses.
• Draws up the schedule of annual paid holidays of the department employees and ensures control of observance thereof.
• Performs character building and educational work with the staff.
• Fulfills other instructions of the Plant Manager that are within his qualification limits.

• Strong production manager is needed to build an efficient production organization, to secure that safety and quality is not in question in time of transfer the volumes from Western Europe and from competition. Cost control and cost improvement will have high focus. The production manager is a key member of management team. English is not less than Upper Intermediate level. Experience in Printing production/Food production as a Production Manager.
