KAZ Minerals Russia is looking for potential candidates for the position of Senior Lawyer within Legal Department in Anadyr/Moscow office.

Structural division: Legal Department

Report to: Director of Legal Department

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher legal education;
• 7+ years of relevant Legal experience
• Knowledge of the Russian system of project approval and licensing of certain types of activities
• Good knowledge of civil, administrative, tax, land, civil, environmental legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as the legislation of the Russian Federation on subsoil use
• 3+ years in mining or other heavy industry experience (mining, would be an asset).
• Skills and of communication and meaningful cooperation with colleagues;
• An organized and responsible person;
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point), Legal Programs – Consultant Plus, Garant etc.)
• English: Upper - Intermediate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Senior Lawyer in Anadyr city mainly provides legal support for the activities of KAZ Minerals Group Russian subsidiaries, when interacting with third parties in the cities of Anadyr, Bilibino and Pevek including, but not limited to:
• Territorial subdivisions of state bodies, including territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Federal Forestry Agency, Subsoil Department of Far Eastern Federal District including Licensing and Geological Division of the Subsoil Department of Far Eastern Federal District of the Chukotka Autonomous Region, Industry Policy Department of the Chukotka Autonomous Region, Department for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Chukotka Autonomous Region, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomy Supervision (Rostechnadzor), Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo) and its territorial bodies, Federal Subsoil Agency (Rosnedra), Federal Service for Supervision in the Natural Resources (Rosprirodnadzor), Federal Fishery Agency (Rosribolovstvo), Administration of the Municipal Formation of the Bilibinskiy Municipal District of the Chukotka Autonomous Region, and any other state and municipal bodies and organizations, courts on the territory of Anadyr city and the Chukotka Autonomous Region.
• Preparation and submission of petitions, appeals, complaints, statements and other documents to state bodies, municipal bodies, state agencies and courts in the city of Anadyr, Bilibino and Pevek.
• Draft and review the documents to state bodies, municipal bodies, state agencies, courts in the city of Anadyr and on the territory of Chukotka Autonomous Region;

• Draft and review letters, applications, petitions, appeals, complaints, and other documents to the courts (if necessary), state bodies, municipal bodies, state institutions in Anadyr city.

• Efficiently interact with the relevant internal Departments of the Company; provide relevant legal opinions, legal consultations on projects support of KAZ Minerals Group Russian subsidiaries;
• Efficiently interact with Federal, regional state bodies, ministries, and regulatory bodies on obtaining the necessary permits and approvals; including preparation and submission of applications / notifications and other documents to Russian State bodies

CONDITIONS:

• Employment specifications: Direct contract with KAZ Minerals Russia LLC;
• Work schedule: Monday-Friday: from 9 am till 6 pm
