Permanent position based in Kyiv, reporting to DIRECTOR ANTI-ILLICIT TRADE OPERATIONS CIS+ HUB

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The objective of this position is to ensure safety of Company's brands against counterfeiting, illicit trafficking and distribution of illegal products in Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Caucasus region based in Kyiv. The role includes, but is not limited to, identifying, developing, managing and directing AITO programs through Service Providers (SPs) to undertake investigations & gather/share intelligence on the illegal trade in tobacco and its related products. The incumbent is also responsible for investigating and identifying sources of leakage of diverted products in accordance with JTI’s Policies and Procedures, reporting such outlets in an evidential format. There will be a particular requirement to ensure compliance with all Laws, JTI Code of Conduct and JTI AIT Operational Policy and Procedures.

What will you actually do?

• Develop intelligence: Take responsibility for enhancing and developing relationships with law enforcement and JTI Markets (Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Caucasus). Identify, recruit and manage Service Providers (SPs) in a manner consistent with all legal requirements and JTI Policy and Procedures.
• Law enforcement liaison (LE): Responsible for enhancing and developing relationships with law enforcement and JTI Markets. Identify, recruit and manage Service Providers (SPs) in a manner consistent with all legal requirements and JTI Policy and Procedures.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports/updates on the progression of core objectives, including diversion of tobacco products monthly reviews, trend analysis and operational activities; provide with investigation reports to support the Diversion and Seizure Investigation team (DSI) enquires. Present orally to audiences within and outside of the company to demonstrate and explain AITO strategies and activities.
• Internal relationships: Work in close cooperation with all CA&C, AITO, Markets and JTI Departments. Maintain and develop excellent relationships in the company to support regional and market management to enhance AITO reputation.
• Budgeting: Efficiently and effectively manage financial expenditure. Undertake robust financial planning and control and meet reporting obligations.

What are we looking for?

You as a professional have:

• University degree in business, economics, law or other related fields
• Experience in conducting and managing investigations in public and/or private sector or in legal support services in illicit trade or IP enforcement would be an advantage
• Experience in working effectively with local and regional law enforcement and intelligence agencies would be a particular advantage
• Experienced user of MS Office
• Good working knowledge in Power BI, i2 iBase and i2 Analyst’s Notebook would be an advantage
• Excellent analytical and structural thinking
• Excellent strategic insight skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Also you are:

• Fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian
