Nissan Technical Centre Europe – Russia is a Nissan’s frontline vehicle engineering centre for Russia and associated markets. It is a part of the Nissan’s global network of Technical centres located in Japan, the UK, Spain, the USA, Mexico and China.

What are we doing in Russia?

• Manage specifications of existing vehicles so that our designs match our customers' needs.
• Work continuously to reduce vehicle costs so Nissan can deliver innovative vehicles at attractive prices.
• Investigate and solve field quality concerns to ensure our customer's satisfaction.
• Lead Nissan's ambitious efforts to localise Nissan Group vehicles into Russian market and improve our speed of response to the market.
• Provide feedback to other Technical centres of Russian market requirements

Today our team is looking for Cockpit module & Climate control systems Design Engineer to take responsibility to:

• Deliver quality, cost and timing KPIs of Cockpit Module / Climate Control Trim Design Section
• Manage cost optimization activities (including localisation) for Nissan Group vehicles already in production working cross-functionally with suppliers, purchasing & plants
• Manage vehicle specification changes in cooperation with Sales & Marketing
• Manage resolution of field quality concerns
• Improve attractiveness of Nissan Group vehicles increasing customer satisfaction
• Deliver to quality, cost and timing KPIs on specific vehicle Life Cycle events
  (e.g. Facelifts or Model Year Events)
• Improve Nissan design & test standards

We expect:

• A passion for the automotive industry and the potential of the automotive technology.
• 2 or more years’ experience in the automotive/aerospace/machines or related industry (preferably with Interior and Electrical parts).
• Good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
• A proven record of accomplishment in developing components to defined Cost, Quality and Timing requirements.
• Previous experience of leading the resolution of business, technical, and process issues within a project team environment.
• Strong project management capabilities alongside the ability to multitask and have a comfortable attitude to challenging cross-functionally and at a variety of levels within the business.
• Supplier management experience, preferably with both global and local Russian suppliers
• Be able to apply logical decision making using relevant data and fact to draw conclusions
• Fluent in both English and Russian (written and verbal communication).
• Degree in Electro-Mechanical / Climate systems Engineering
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to the defined area of responsibility
• Flexible & able to identify and resolve issues as required to meet the project requirements
• Commercially astute
• Good communication skills (listening, presenting, influencing)
• Ready for business trips inside and outside Russia
• Knowledge of scientific problem-solving techniques, such as Fault Tree Analysis or FMEA is an advantage
• CAD experience would be an advantage
