Overall responsibility for ensuring Kentech’s HSE Program is maintained to the highest standard and in compliance with all Kentech Policies and procedures, plus all client requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote safety awareness and safe performance among all Team members and commit to achieve the project goal of Zero LTI.
• Implementation of the QHSE program to ensure all work is in compliance with relevant Kentech procedures.
• Work in accordance with Kentech procedures and requirements that have been produced to ensure the protection of the environment.
• Implement the overall HSE program. Coordinate and monitor HSE activities.
• Maintain and update the HSE program as may be required throughout the project.
• Coordination of personnel training and safety activities.
• Daily Inspections of site for safety practices and champion the implementation of safety improvements.
• Audit the safety programs of subcontractors employed on the site.
• Maintenance of site training records.
• Preparation of all site generated safety reports required by the project and law.
• Lead Tool Box, JSA, Risk Assessment, Hazard analysis meetings and review subcontracts documents related to same issues.
• Investigate and report without delay accidents / incidents.
• Collect safety statistics and reports and analyse produce trends to determine root cause and appropriate corrective actions
• Review subcontractor health, safety and environmental certificates.
• Supervise Alcohol & Drug control.
• Auditing of project team compliance to Safety Management Plans.
• Auditing construction team on a continual basis through field inspections and regular Safety Inspections.
• Ensure that all projects have fire-fighting and emergency response facilities that are in good operating condition. Coordinate site response actions during site emergencies.
• Conducting Project specific Inductions and Training where required.
• Accountable for all team compliance with health and environmental.
• Supervise reviews/audits/certification of the plant and equipment.
• Ensures that only medically certified persons are engaged in the work.
• Ensures proper waste and environmental management system.
• Provide advice and services to all areas of operation in the field of environmental management. Provide information such as applicable Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Industry Standards and other technical guidance;
• Ensuring that the Environmental Management Plan is implemented site wide.
• Review environmental reporting provided by site Safety Advisors.
• Provide feedback to the Construction / Project Manager regarding environmental performance and compliance.
• Review effectiveness and implementation of this Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
• Review all environmental incident investigation reports.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring where required.
• Ensure all Client reporting requirements are met.
• Oversee the on-going development and implementation of environmental activities and practices.
• Monitor performance in achieving Key Performance Index (KPI’s).
• Maintain all legislative documentation relating to personnel and tasks on site.
• Provide presentations on a weekly basis based on topical or scheduled issues

• English language skills preferable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

• Higher Education
• English Speaker
• Recognized Health and Safety Qualification

Work conditions:

4 x 4 rotation. Travel across the Sakhalin-1 Facilities (Orlan, Berkut, Dekastri, Odoptu and Chayvo) will occur.
