JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand the business objectives and develop an IT hardware and telecommunications strategy;
Undertake studies into the feasibility, cost, risks, implications and performance benefits of new technology solutions;
Plan and manage the agreed information technology implementation;
Establish and maintain an efficient IT “service desk”, providing IT support to employees;
Work with Local Service Providers to ensure Service Level compliance and that customer requirements are met;
Supervise consultants and contractors to ensure sound governance and adherence to budget, contract schedule, project scope and delivery of high quality mining telecommunications and IT infrastructure;
Monitor and review Service Level results and effectiveness, and establish new Service Levels as required;
Manage the commercial review process for information technology related contracts;
Promote the selection, development, testing and implementation of fault tolerant telecommunications and IT infrastructure, services and support;
Provide advice in relation to best practice and innovative technology delivery;
Manage mining telecommunications and IT infrastructure benchmarking and audits;
Ensure that hardware and telecommunications comply with all regulatory and licensing requirements;
Ensure documentation of telecommunications and IT infrastructure is in line with best practice;
Provide IT advice to other parts of the Group;

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Experience and knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL V3 Foundations) good practices for IT service management processes is a requirement.
Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the PRINCE2 Project Management Methodology qualifications would be an advantage
Ability to use Microsoft Project for development of complex program / project schedules that identify critical path, dependencies, work effort and allocation of people to tasks.
English (upper intermediate) Russian, Kazakh
