Job description:

We are looking for a Business Analyst who will report to the General Manager and will play a key role in the rapid growth of our business in Russia.


Mission Statement:

Reporting directly into the General Manager but working closely with all of the Team, Ubisoft Russia is looking for a talented individual to manage and utilise existing systems and look to develop tools both locally and with EMEA colleagues to improve understanding of the Russian market and Ubisoft’ s position within it.

The candidate should be extremely numerate and experienced with Business Intelligence tools and methodologies, good at building and maintaining relationships and able to work with colleagues from various departments and backgrounds.

Ideally educated to graduate level the candidate will have at least 5 years industry experience.

As the Business Analyst for Russia you will report to the General Manager and will particularly be in charge of:

MAIN MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Planning

  • Use all available data to aid senior management team in their business planning process Refine estimates in CFM using timely and relevant data
  • Assist Finance Controller in delivering business plans
  • Liaise with other departments as necessary to deliver updated title/brand expectations

Product Lifecycle Management

Pre-order tracking

  • Monitor pre-orders on all key titles from all key retailers on a weekly/daily basis
  • Analyse trends and report weekly the relevant pre-order data
  • Retailer specific reports for key partners as requested

Week Forecasts

  • Deliver detailed, accurate, and realistic 12 week product forecasts for all titles launched
  • Extend to 52 weeks where relevant for key titles
  • Develop methodologies to deliver accuracy as best as possible at all times
  • Present to key stakeholders as required

Sales Tracking

  • Post launch sales and stock tracking on all titles
  • Daily sales tracking and reporting on key titles and during key periods
  • Identify opportunities/risks with individual retailers/skus, liaise with relevant account managers

Promotional Planning

  • Model potential promotional scenarios and determine financial impact for titles to assist senior management in formulating optimum strategies
  • Monitor competitor promotions
  • Post-mortem review of promotions that have occurred to determine effectiveness

Stock Management

  • Manage D1 Builds for all titles with KAMs and Operations Manager to ensure stock availability without undue risks for all titles
  • Monitor back catalogue to identify stock builds. Work closely with Sales and Operations to coordinate specific deals etc.
  • Maintain sensible stock buffers while minimising overall stock holding and hitting stock and pallet targets
  • Maintain Stock Status report and prepare Action Lists of stock to minimise dormant lines
  • Produce Back Order report daily to ensure all orders are being shipped as required

Sales Support

  • Maintain Release schedules and distribute as required. Ensure accuracy with available information
  • Maintain business targeting sheets for all titles for each quarter. Ensure accuracy of information within to avoid confusions
  • Performance Update refreshed daily to ensure all are aware of financial performance against target
  • Work with Sales Managers to set quarterly targets and individual account forecasts for key titles based on past retailer performance on specific games etc.
  • Retailer presentations to aid sell in using all data available
  • Retailer profitability analysis for internal measures

Tool Development

  • Develop internal tracking and analytics tools and methodologies to meet local needs, and always look to improve, automate, refine
  • Liaise with EMEA teams to provide input and influence development of wider reaching projects (eg Business Objects/Microstrategy etc.)
  • Build tools to better manage digital distribution channels where possible
  • Maintain local datawarehouse and adapt as size increases to maintain performance

Market Forecasting

  • Build detailed market forecasts for upcoming 3-4 years to anticipate market trends
  • Competitive title analysis
  • Hardware install base forecasts
  • Liaise with data providers and business partners to ensure maximum accuracy

General

  • Maintain excellent market and competitor knowledge at all times
  • Be aware of changing trends and disruptive technologies that may impact the business
  • Deliver pertinent information in a timely manner to the business through TSM meeting and other relevant newsletters/reports etc.
  • Manage relationship with market data providers including budgets and negotiations
  • Distribute Weekly sales information with a brief commentary on a Sunday evening during key periods
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis from any area of the business
  • Provide data and presentations as required by senior management
  • Provide reporting as required by EMEA head office
  • Build and maintain relationship with colleagues in equivalent roles at EMEA and subsidiaries, and US office to share information, ideas and best practices
  • Ad-hoc business case analysis on potential local partnerships

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Have exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and decision making thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written Communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills – Excel (experience with VBA ideal), Microstrategy, Business Objects, Access Power-Point, Peoplesoft
  • Experience with retailer systems – EDI
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to present complicated data in a way that is accessible to all
  • Good commercial and business awareness
  • Be a highly organised self-starter, with drive and commitment.
  • Strong and measured negotiation skills
  • Product, Industry and Ubisoft Knowledge
  • Good team player able to work with different parties and bring them together
  • Able to adapt and learn quickly
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment
  • Fluent in English and Russian.
