Our client is an independent oil trading company. Its highly experienced team creates trading, logistical and financial solutions for its international suppliers and customer base. The Company is supported by a strong management team, with significant expertise in commodities trading, finance and corporate governance. The company is operating from the Central Europe, is very pleased to recruit a CHARTERING OPERATIONS MANAGER to focus on the development of the European region business.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In this role there will be opportunity to develop business on both the cargo and tonnage sides. We are interested to hear from experienced Freight Trader/Operators as well as those coming from a broking or owning background who have a strong existing network and suitable experience within the EU markets.

Our Client is looking for an individual with a ‘hands on’ approach, who will share our ambition to grow the Business and who is able to take responsible decisions as part of a small team.
This is a full time job, the office is in Kyiv.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• Responsible for the professional and cost-efficient handling of dry Bulk operations in an international commodities trading company

MAIN OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Issuing voyage orders and instructions to Master’s as per c/p terms
• Bill of Lading, LOI’s issuing
• Responsible for Freight and hire invoicing / collection, off-hire calculations, laytime and demurrage / dispatch calculations
• Ensuring accurate daily performance of the time chartered vessels
• Handling cargo and performance related claims
• Handling payments for Port Agents and Disbursement accounts
• Coordinating with the company’s oil trading platform for optimal bunkering planning and arrangements
• Managing and supervising day to day operations of the vessels assigned to his responsibility

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Successful relevant experience between 6-8 years of dry bulk operations duties (mainly in iron, coal & grains)
• Knowledge of maritime operating system (IMOS) and maritime accounting will be advantageous
• English – fluent
