Key functional tasks of the department:
- Legal support of the University’s activities
Key functional tasks of the position:

Legal support of the University’s daily activities (preparation and legal analysis of draft orders, rules, other internal documentation, contracts with residents and non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan); preparation and legal analysis of contracts with foreign partners of the University, legal support of negotiations regarding conditions of said contracts; drafting letters regarding legal issues addressed to foreign partners of the University, cooperation with their legal departments on legal issues; supporting and controlling the work of external legal consultants attracted by the University;
interaction with the public authorities, other bodies and organizations on the legal issues related to the activity of the University;
participation in coordination of work of legal departments of the University’s subsidiaries; representing the University’s interests as may be necessary.
Education:
- Higher professional, LL.M degree of the higher education institution abroad
Work experience must meet one of the following requirements:
- with Master’s degree, professional experience should be not less than 2 years in the areas corresponding to functional areas of a specific position;
- with Bachelor degree, work experience should be at least 3 years in the areas corresponding to the functional areas of a given position at the international and/or national companies.
Professional knowledge and personal qualities:
- Knowledge of Kazakhstan’s legislation on the matters related to the University’s activity, including civil, corporate, financial, administrative, labor and other legislation; experience in concluding contracts with foreign individuals and entities, including under legislation of foreign states.
Proficiency in languages, including state language, (list of languages):
- Kazakh, Russian, English (good oral and writing skills) languages. Required level of English: IELTS 6.5/ TOEFL equivalent
Computer skills:
- High level PC (MS Office, “Paragraph” and office equipment skills.
