Duties and functions:

• Enforcement of the RoK legislation as well as internal provisions, acts of KATCO (including GWS procurement field) to the extent concerning carrying-out of the legal analysis of draft contracts, submitted for approval to CCSD in the manner required by the Company.
• Provide legal support for Company employees in procedural and institutional, as well as other legal issues in the field of GWS procurement by subsoil users.

• Conducts claim administration including preparation of claims and/or lawsuits of Company against any third parties; reviews claims/ lawsuits received by the LD made against Company; participates or advises during state inspections.

• Be involved in development of the rules, procedures and other internal documents of Company in the field of GWS procurement

• Carry out legal analysis of draft contracts (including those which are an integral part of Company tender documentation), to the extent concerning compliance with the RK legislative requirements, Company internal documents

• Carry out analysis of the problematic issues and risks of Company, related to procurement

• Carry out legal analysis and approve contracts submitted to CCSD for consideration

• Represents interests of Company in its relations with the state, judicial agencies, profit-making and nonprofit organizations, individuals and Company employees by virtue of a relevant Power of Attorney and also participates in inspections by governmental agencies with necessary support of relevant internal services and departments of Company (when it is necessary, provides on-site legal aid at the mine during state inspections/ audits).

General Requirements:

• Higher legal education;
• At least 2 years of experience in legal sphere (experience in the field of subsurface use is welcomed);
• Work experience with foreign citizens and foreign companies;
• Knowledge of the RoK legislation in the field of procurement of goods, works and services by subsoil users, subsoil use, civil, civil and procedural, labor, administrative RK legislation, other normative legal acts;
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IS Paragraph
• Upper-Intermediate level of English is a must.
