Otrada Group, a Pig Production Company, is looking for an experienced Land Farming Director to manage Otrada’s Land Farming business unit (10 000 ha) in tight cooperation with the chief-agronomist, and resolutely put operations on the track of precision farming.

What tasks you will deal with:

• Assignments go, one the one end, from the proposal of a general cropping strategy (definition of crop rotation, choice of varieties, fertilizing strategy, crop protection strategy, choice of machinery, etc.) in line with the main objective (maximizing profits per hectare) to, on the other end, the daily management of operations. They encompass management of a team of 40 people spread over two locations distant by 200 km from each other.
• Conduct a fundamental change in mentalities, i.e. implement a quantitative and data based way of working, and apply precision farming to our operations.
• Set of the annual Budget and accountable for its execution.
• Close cooperation is required with the chief-agronomist (who reports to the LF Director and is the living memory of our operations from an agronomic point of view) and with the “supply chain” and “construction & maintenance” support functions.

What we expect from you:

• Master degree in land farming, agriculture.
• Management of land farming operations of similar or larger size, in Russia or in countries with similar type of LF specificities.
• Definition of cropping strategy and leading of daily operations.
• Precision farming.
• Cartesian mind, oriented towards analytical approach of LF.
• Science and efficiency driven.
• Ability to consider global and movable constraints, and build better global solutions after having got the initial proposals challenged.
• Excellent team member (top management of the company) and at the same time proven team leadership abilities (subordinates).
• Good command of English (both verbal and written) and Excel.
• Relocation to Lipetsk (package is provided).
