Наш клиент - крупная международная компания открывает набор на позицию инженер отдела разработки электродвигателей.

Key Responsibilities To Support the dealer retail network in the diagnosis and repair of electrified vehicles, acting as the first touch point to failures and component issues, ensuring a strong link between Front Desk Engineering, Engineering and Service teams. Ensuring all aspects of safe working on JLR vehicles with Hazardous Voltage Systems and that relevant HV procedures in the workshop manuals are correctly written and followed by technicians, and offboard diagnostic instructions and routines are utilised correctly by the retailer network.

This is a high profile role and safety critical post that requires a blend of technical knowledge and ability, combined with a calm, reasoned approach. The ability to convey specialist technical information to a range people with differing knowledge and skill levels is essential, and previous dealership or workshop experience is highly desirable. The role is varied, and will include dealing with a range of scenarios, from routine service operations to supporting with damaged vehicles. The role will encompass the assessment of vehicle status, determining the hazards that may be present, and advising the dealers on the correct course of action.

Essential skills / experience required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Alternative qualifications may be accepted providing the candidate can demonstrate education in electrical systems and/or power electronics at voltages in excess of 150 V d.c.
• Current, valid, government approved Certification as an electrician, or electrical technician on systems having an AC voltage higher than 100V (Note: Compulsory for China & advisable for Europe and US)
• Knowledge of the legal framework relating to Health and Safety, and work on electrical systems in the region of operation. This knowledge should include statutory requirements for isolation, safe working practices, and the provision and use of equipment and facilities.
• An understanding of vehicle HV system architectures, the ability to identify systems and components, knowledge of the failure modes of these components and the possible risks associated with them.
• Experience and qualified to conduct live work on HV systems
• Ability to strip and repair HV batteries down to component level
• Experience in carrying out planned and dynamic Risk Assessments. The ability to translate those risk assessment into a safe working procedure, and communicate the information to the workshop personnel
• Experience in the use of electrical testing devices, and the ability to carry out safe diagnostic testing on HV components and systems
• The ability to interpret test results and DTCs and to recommend a safe course of action based upon the data available

Desirable skills / experience

• Senior Authorised Person
• Electrical test and inspection qualification and experience
• Ability to use computerised diagnostic software, or the willingness to learn
• Experience on systems operating at 500V or higher would be advantageous
• Knowledge of dealer operations and workshop practices within the region
• Knowledge and experience of vehicle 12V systems, and communications networks
