Role overview

The ability for SOFTSWISS to continue to operate a fast and effective service is underpinned by the scale and performance of the technology products. We are building a new tier for leadership with the technical team. Reporting to the CTO, the Deputy CTO will define and lead a functional area within the SecOps and InfoSec teams across the whole organization. This role will also be a core part of the engineering leadership team driving the overall technology strategy across all aspects of engineering and technology. To be successful in the role and thrive at SOFTSWISS, you must display pragmatism, and situational awareness, an iterative approach to products and the organization, and an ability to deal with an unstructured and ambiguous environment and simply be someone who gets things done.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage and mentor the Security department
• Translate security risks into the overall strategy and roadmaps for security, ensure its successful delivery
• Build and maintain relationships with the security compliance authorities

• Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches

• Form plans and budgets for security implementation
• Execute security audits and certifications passing ownership
• Manage the development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures
• Spread security policies and best practices across the organization
• Participate in talent acquisition of key technologists
• Work with other executives to prioritize security initiatives
• Manage knowledge development & sharing across the organization

Key requirements

• Proven track record in both technical and functional competencies in security
• Proven engineering experience of working in security roles
• Experience in senior/c-level technical leadership roles
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements including - NIST, ISO-27001, and PCI Compliance
• Experience with SIEM solutions implementation in an organization
• Ability to influence and lead without direct line accountability
• Technological curiosity and constant learning
