Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our International design team. Based in our Moscow office, the successful candidate will work with the Director of Design in Moscow and the Head of Realisation in London, to manage the Design & Print production of our packaging. This will involve overseeing printing trials with our Russian print suppliers and, in time, the print production management of our brands across Russia and Europe including initial proofing exercises, pre-industrial print trials and full industrial production sign off.

Job Purpose and Scope

Reporting to the Director of Design in Moscow and the Head of Realisation in London, the Design & Print Manager will help manage the relationship with our Russia based print suppliers. This will involve acting as a liaison for the studio, helping to ensure that the design ideas are understood by the supplier and the active management of files that are received from the supplier for approval. The role will require daily communication between the Head of Realisation in London and the wider New Product Development & Marketing teams in Moscow. The Design & Print Manager will be required to travel to our Russian suppliers and oversee the print production of various print tests and trials, often supporting the Head of Realisation on pre-industrial print trials and full industrial production approvals. Some traveling within the Moscow & Central Russian Federation regions will therefore be required.

Key Responsibilities

• To manage print production trials with Russian print suppliers ensuring that the intentions of the company are met.
• To support the Head of Realisation on pre-industrial print trials and full industrial production approvals.
• To manage a physical database of all printed packaging across the Roust brands portfolio.
• To manage a database of all BATs produced by suppliers throughout each project.
• To manage a database of the final artwork produced by suppliers.

Key Competencies/Personal attributes

• At least 5 years experience as a print manager in a FMCG or premium spirits business.
• Good knowledge of label printing and various packaging technologies relevant to premium spirit’s business.
• Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop would be an advantage.
• Enthusiastic team play with a can-do attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and experience of dealing with people on all levels
