Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:

Market Intelligence Specialist’s objective is to define the current market position of Ahlers and provide market insights to identify business development opportunities including filling the pipeline, mapping out seminars, conferences, communities relevant to the Business Unit High Value Cargo with focus on secured supply chains.

Market Intelligence Specialist role is primarily responsible for the understanding of Ahlers' position in the market and identification of market trends. Market Intelligence Specialist conducts market research (incl. market forecasting), competitive analysis, and market segmentation

Specific responsibilities of the position:

• Reporting on market drivers, growth rates, industry trends, and changing market conditions to highlight opportunities and threats
• Providing market insights and recommendations
• Providing data to identify market and customers needs and opportunities, making existing and potential customers research
• Performing systematic analysis of the general economic and political environment
• Evaluating financial performance of competitors, tracking competitors’ strategy

Specific requirements for the position:

• Expertise in obtaining, filtering and analyzing massive data from different sources
• Strong analytical skills, ability to identify market trends and interpret them for Ahlers’ business
• Advanced knowledge of logistics and service lines provided by Ahlers and by competitors
• Experienced MS office user
• Knowledge of English at Upper-Intermediate level
• Experienced CRM user
