As Legal Counsel, you will be a member of EAST legal team, reporting to its Legal Director. The position is based in Moscow, Russia.

You will counsel and work closely with business team members within Nike on a wide range of commercial contracts and business law issues, with a bias towards brand related issues (including IP), anti-trust, sales and distribution, franchising, creditor legal issues and procurement transactions. You will also help drive regulatory compliance within the organization.
You will be flexible, pragmatic, solution driven, commercially minded and enjoy negotiation. You must have the confidence to make informed decisions and assessments on legal risk in the best interests of the organization with a deep understanding of the bigger picture.

Time Management - team player who can enhance performance, improve productivity and meet on tight deadlines.
Risk Management - recognize and calibrate, and help business partners appropriately manage risk. The ability to make and own hard calls on risk.

Qualifications:

Degree in law from a reputable university.
5+ years' post qualification experience in a major law firm or in-house in multinational company with the following critical experiences and skills:
(1) solid grounding in general business law;
(2) advanced drafting and negotiation experience in commercial agreements;
(3) project management;
(4) representing clients in cross-cultural negotiations.
The ability to effectively own and manage multiple transactions, instructing outside counsels and coordinating internal business partners.
Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Capability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and layers.
Strong oral and written communication skills with solid business acumen.
Business fluency in English; written and oral.
