Tolling Production Manager

• Within the scope of 3rd party manufacturing (tolling), the purpose of this role is to keep the Syngenta supply risk to a minimum at all times
• Ensure full compliance of tollers with Syngenta's HSES and quality requirements and with regulatory, contractual and financial frameworks
• Maintain a tolling supply base delivering production flexibility and reliability at a competitive total cost
• Coordinate and consult the different Syngenta functions on tolling and toller related topics; act as single key point of contact on managerial level

Accountabilities

• Ensure Syngenta HSES and quality policies, Crop Life and good stewardship are understood and adopted by the toller; enforce appropriate management processes at the toller
• Report any significant, continuing risks and compliance gaps through the RMIS
• Address any significant operational issues that arise at the toller appropriately
• Define and manage toller relationship
• Support HSES and quality audits and drive timely response on findings and action plans
• Investigate complaints and ensure resolution through the appropriate interfaces
• Ensure product specific documentation is complete and correct; follow-up on any PCR
• Support the TMS to ensure QOTIF delivery against contractual obligations
• Measure toller performance and drive continuous improvement where appropriate
• Identify and implement outsource siting options where needed and know the market
• Define requirements to support Procurement in contractually securing adequate capacity and competitive cost
• Monitor the total tolling cost (per kg/liter) to identify and realise savings opportunities
• Lead/participate in selected projects, including product introductions, issue resolution
• Give input to MDM for the creation of the chemical BOM

Critical Knowledge and Experience

• Degree in chemistry
• Basic understanding of formulation, fill & pack technology and processes
• Good grasp of 3rd party relationship management
• Good knowledge of HSE, Quality and Regulatory compliance frameworks
• Working experience in a manufacturing environment
• Upper - Intermediate English
