Responsibilities:- Responsibility for daily support of corporate functions; timely, efficient and professional support to solve business problems under the leadership of Senior Legal Counsel, Kazakhstan & SCA (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan), including, but not limited:
- Prevention of potential legal risks for the Company's business within own responsibility.
- Coordination of issues regarding powers of managers, issuance and execution of warrants, checking for compliance with the Charter of current Company activities; coordination of all matters relating to the Company management and compliance with the requirements of current legislation on legal entities.
- Inspection and approval of policies and procedures for compliance with current legislation and general principles of the BAT Group of Companies.
- Legal support in legislation on regulation of tobacco products; Combating smuggling and counterfeiting.
- Legal support in labour legislation issues.
- Legal support for all business units in SCA and development of standard and one-time contracts.
- Assist the Legal team in ensuring all employees understand the legal requirements and standards of the Company and support their compliance with those requirements and standards.
- Contribute to cross functional projects and initiatives to assess, monitor and anticipate potential threats to the business such as competitors' activities, systems/structures failures etc. to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Degree: Bachelor of law
- Experience: minimum 3 years as a lawyer
- Knowledge of Kazakhstan and South Central Asia legislation (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia).
- Excellent knowledge of labour (including EHS), finance, tax and administrative legislation.
