For Kazakhstan Nationals in Aktau

For upstream projects in the oil and gas industry the civil engineering has to be done for the different project phases: such as concept, FEED and detail design.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead development of the full set of project documentation, principle diagrams, drawings, explanatory notes, etc. of industrial and civil facilities for architectural and construction solutions, metal and reinforced concrete structures and other sections
• Lead design of metal and reinforced concrete structures, including:
• Calculation of loads and impacts on metal structures;
• Performance of foundation loads calculation;
• Development of drawings of general view of metal structures of buildings and structures (plans, cross-sections, views, excerpts);
• Development of layouts of metal and concrete structures elements;
• Detailed drawings of metal structures nodes;
• Assembling drawings of concrete and reinforced concrete structures;
• Drawings of reinforcement, embedded and connecting items;
• Diagrams of monolithic reinforced concrete structures;
• Lead development of project specific engineering solutions without supervision in order to meet the project goals
• Lead development of package-engineering (bid evaluation, vetting, expediting, commissioning support)
• Coordinate different civil engineering activities in the civil engineering team and in other engineering disciplines
• Lead organization, initiation, and follow-up of the project files and documentation, including maintaining the standard project files structure on project server.
• Responsible to oversee all civil engineering related documents before being issued for Interdisciplinary Check and before submission to Clients.
• Responsible to implement all required civil engineering related measures to ensure quality at source
• Train and mentor junior engineers

• Academic education to BSc. level minimum in civil engineering or comparable education
• At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering, ideally in the upstream oil and gas
• Experienced in technical consulting, planning and commissioning and familiar with all phases of EPC Contracts
• Advanced level of understanding of design calculations and result interpretation.
• Ability to identify changes and improvements to the technical documentation and procedures to reflect Client’s changing requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of computer based systems including, CAD, Database Management systems, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office or equivalent software packages.
• Advanced knowledge and application of appropriate international and Kazakhstan’s engineering standards
• Sensitive to Client’s requirements and Client focused
• Be proactive, a self-starter and ability to work without supervision
• Systematic thinker and good organizational skills / time management
• Strong personality with ability to be firm and persuasive without authority
• Team player within and across functions
• Fluency in English and Russian
