C-MAP is looking for an experienced and passionate <Senior Software Developer> / <Software Developer> within the C-MAP Technical Services division, which has development teams in Russia and the USA. This position will be a part of a skilled implementation team that develops new and novel software applications, auxiliary tools and components to facilitate modern, economically efficient, and environmentally focused maritime commercial shipping. This position is based in St. Petersburg, Russia and provides opportunities to work with breakthrough technology, exciting customers, and fantastic colleagues from around the world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Code implementation based upon requirements and solution architecture
• Developer testing, unit-testing and bug-fixing
• Following industry and corporate best practices in Agile software development
• Familiarization with essentials of marine operations and navigation as well as C-MAP tools and solutions

Required knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent software development skills with at least <10> / <4> years of professional .NET development experience
• Proven ability to produce clear, flexible and understandable code
• BSc, MSc in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Spoken and written English at Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level

Required Practical Experience:

• Extensive experience in developing commercial applications with Microsoft .NET, C# and C# Design patterns
• Experience in developing commercial applications with Microsoft Silverlight, WCF and Entity Framework
• Experience with Multi-Threading in C#/.NET 4.0+
• Understanding and experience of MVVM pattern and XAML
• Experience with Agile (Scrum) development and Microsoft TFS

Preferred Assets:

• Experience with Telerik UI controls
• Knowledge of WPF, Prism & Managed Extensibility Framework
• Knowledge of Linq to SQL
• Experience with T-SQL in MS SQL Server in retrieving and manipulating data (stored procedures, triggers, indexes, SCM, deployment, optimization, etc.).
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Knowledge of optimization algorithms, and of evolutionary / genetic algorithms in particular
• Knowledge of marine navigation, cartography and GIS
