The Role

Development of the company’s expansion and strategic development: setting the growth targets, both qualitative and quantitative, for new stores and existing portfolio;
Build full business case for projects in terms of fit with market strategy, location requirement, commercial idea, configuration of space, economic and legal terms;
Setting up a Road-map of cities/countries to enter in the next 3-5 years;
Evaluating the potential of each new market;
Definition and coordination of successful locations for stores opening;
Negotiating and executing the first deals and rent/lease/acquisition contracts;
Comparison of the estimated cost of work and preparation of the project budget;
Optimizing the existing portfolio, meaning refit, extension and relocation of existing stores;
Legal and technical due diligence;
Cultivation and promotion of the working relationships with outside partners, state authorities, city administrators, officials and developers;
Leading the rent, leasing, legal, store planning, construction, and facility teams: setting the values, mission and vision, and consistently displaying integrity, and developing, empowering and motivating the teams to meet their agreed goals;
Maintenance of the development decisions as per corporate interests and policies.

The Candidate

5+ years’ experience as a Director/Senior Manager/Head of Department in Retail Expansion/Development, pref. within retailers with 200+ stores chains;
Experience within companies with a rapid growth of the number of stores in a short-term period and multiple one-time openings;
Financial and cost management experience;
Ability to develop and manage key business relationships;
Strong financial and analytical skills;
Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives;
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills;
Excellent strategy formulation and implementation skills;
Fluent spoken and written English.
