For the agricultural division we are looking for Product Category Manager, Herbicides.

The role reports to the Country Marketing Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and manage life cycles for assigned products on the level of CU including of championing of country position on European meetings and beyond them
• Planning for assigned products inside country mid/longterm plan together with Marketing Manager and Sales Manager (Market and competitive assumptions, Project timelines, Price evolution etc).
• Identify new business opportunities and initiate projects, seek opportunities to apply marketing tactics to multiple portfolios and product lines for synergistic effect
• Work closely with country teams, functions, and European Products Managers to support and ensure effective execution of business plans and approved projects, and deliver forecasted financial results
• Lead 1-5 years Country demand planning for assigned products. Support bottom up short term (1 year) planning of regional sales teams for assigned portfolio.
• Prepare product positioning for the countries of CU by understanding of market potential and its segmentation, knowledge of competitive proposition (details, prices, strategy), cascade this positioning for regions, leverage ideas / learnings and the use of resources for promotion of the product category.

• Lead the planning of product promoting actions, support marketing communications, digital marketing, agency relationships and CRM teams to understand the marketing tactics implementation plan.
• Coordination of activities with R&D / IFS department
• Coordination of demo and agro trials in regions (including GrowingPoints)
• Track performance of product group versus plan (prices and volumes vs PO, project stage reviews), investigate significant deviations, and recommend corrective action as necessary

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Higher degree in Agriculture, preferably with the focus on Crop protection, Agrochemistry or Phytopathology
• Additional marketing / business education is preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in Marketing / Product Management function
• Thorough knowledge of marketing concepts applicable in Agriculture industry
• Experience in crop protection industry is preferred
• Strong verbal & written communications
• Deep analytical skills and problem solving
• Team player able to influence others
• Strong networking competence
