Job Description:

We aim to strengthen our developer teams with a strong statistical and numerical software engineer. You will develop ‘state of the art’ algorithms for fast stochastic and numerical solutions. You will contribute to a core added value of our software products for our clients. You will cooperate in agile teams with other developer colleagues, business analysts and client representatives locally and virtually.

About you:

Master's degree with strong mathematical focus
Outstanding skills in analytic and conceptual thinking
Exceptional strength in statistics, stochastic modeling and numerical methods
Strong background in modelling (e.g. in physics, social sciences, …)
Can work in an area with lots of legacy code
Refactoring of numerical calculations
Knowledge of object oriented concepts
Programming skills in at least one language at a professional level is a must (Java, C++, Matlab, R, ...)
Open to work with a predefined tech stack and is willing to adapt and quick in learning a new language
Sound communication skills in English language - verbal and written
Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
Willing to make proposals and take on responsibilities
A successful track record in applying math to practical business issues in the financial sector would be an advantage
