Reporting: Legal Director – Business Integrity Africa & NAMET RUB, Cluster GC and Chief BI Officer

Responsibilities:

Point of contact for any Code related queries
Managing the Cluster/Country BI Roadmap and Code Compliance organization
Facilitate and track local Code and BI awareness across RUB locations (R&D centers, SUs) through town halls, Integrity Moments and other forms of leadership team engagements, local roll-out of global & local education and awareness programmes
Ensure that all reporting options are clearly communicated and encourage a speak up culture
Run or, where SMEs are involved, oversee all Code investigation in RUB to ensure quality control from investigation plan to reported findings on (un) substantiated Code breaches and sanctioning proposal
Presenting cases findings and investigations with a view to closing with RUB BI Committee, support the Cluster BI Committee chair with agendas, reports, minutes and follow-up
Facilitate the deployment of local procedures and controls to cover key local BI areas including third party compliance solutions – Responsible Sourcing Policy and Responsible Business Partner Policy
Review, monitor and report Cluster/country external issues and developments Ensure conformance with defined global governance, standards and KPIs, maintain an understanding of applicable laws, regulations and best practices, notably as regards ABC laws and trade sanctions
Periodic cross-functional meetings to align with SMEs (e.g. Security, SHE) on investigations and priorities.

Requirements:

University degree in law, or recognized equivalent qualification in law
Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience
Excellent command of relevant languages including English (the working language of Unilever)
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Initiative and the ability to work both independently and in a team in an international environment.
