Responsibilities:
  • Sales: To implement sales plans for each account in respective territory by means of building the sales team; educating and motivating Beauty Advisors, implementing all marketing and incentive programs; ensuring brand space and location standards are met; maintaining constant communication with business partners and store management in order to increase sales plans and accomplish set sales goals
  • Marketing: In conjunction with Brand Manager and Moscow Marketing Manager, holds primary accountability for developing and implementing marketing objectives, plans and programs for Brand products for the local market. This includes product selection, promotions, positioning, advertising and media planning. Effectively orchestrates and maintains the existing line and initiates and executes programs to support new products. Develops customized programs for each channel of distribution. Ensures, coordinates and follows-up on field execution of the programs. Evaluates results and provides feedback to Brand manager.
  • Sales:
    • Visits all doors regularly to ensure sales goals
    • Prepares product orders or supervises order writing by counter manager; controls inventory
    • Enforces merchandising guidelines, coordinates selection of best space and location in stores
    • Ensures implementation of marketing calendar and all promotional activities
    • Implements sell-in/sell-through budgets, in-store inventories, returns
    • Introduces new products, demonstrates use, explains background, suggest display, sets sales goals for launches
    • Hires, motivates and evaluates beauty advisors and coordinators; sets sales targets; executes incentives; develops sales teams and individuals by example, training and coaching
    • Provides input in setting performance objectives for team; clearly communicates priorities and required results with team; provides input in assessing performance of team-members
    • Maximizes promotion dollars, ensuring that orders are placed for sufficient stock; explains use of collateral materials and use to beauty advisors, counter managers and buyers
    • Advises Regional Manager/sales Director of competitive activities and makes suggestions for tie-in
    • Targeting to maximize the sales potential; develop team, and to protect image of the brand
    • Performs other duties as assigned if they are not in contradiction with this job description.
  • Marketing:
    • Ensures Customer and Market Growth
    • Develops marketing plan for Brand for local market
    • Works with Brand manager to develop marketing and sales objectives and strategies (including sales volume and profit forecasts), plans and budgets
    • Considers local Brand objectives; evaluates offering suiting local objectives; cost of goods/pricing objectives, manufacturing feasibility, and local market/competitive trends to:
    • Manages marketing activities associated with new door and market launches
    • Orders product, promotional items (including collateral/visual merchandizing) and advertising material
    • Oversees forecasts to ensure planning accuracy and appropriate inventory levels. Recommends plans to reduce excess inventory levels
    • Represents marketing\sales at various meetings. Responsible for preparation, re-cap, and follow-up of internal meetings in regards to programs in process.
    • Uses and distributes accurate marketing bulletins.
    • Regularly interfaces with Moscow Marketing Operations/Services and Creative Services to ensure proper coordination and implementation of programs, and to raise potential issues or conflicts for resolution. Tracks and meets timetable dates. Completes necessary paperwork according to established timetables.
    • Interfaces, on an ongoing basis, with all support functions (Product Development, Packaging, Design/Creative and Visual Merchandizing, Training/Education, Global Communications, and Forecasting) to:
    • Facilitate the progress of programs
    • Discuss and develop new and modified ideas for products, promotional items, creative concepts, packaging, and communications to meet market specific needs
    • Ensure appropriate product, material, and concept development
    • Discuss market trends and local market needs
    • Communicate marketing initiatives
    • Anticipate, identify, and seek resolutions to issues that may arise
    • Provides leadership, guidance and management to staff
    • Supports Brand manager to ensure that no grey market is created
    • Provides input to merchandizing, creative development, market development, sales promotion, distribution and suggested wholesale price
    • Supports Brand manager to develop trade presentations and strong sell?through systems
    • Helps develop sales cycle material to meet specific distribution requirements; follows up with Brand in Moscow and suppliers for locally produced items
    • Maintains contact with distribution centers and key customers, follows up on promotion efforts, keeps informed on sales force needs and assists sales management as necessary
    • In liaison with Brand Manager, Manages local promotion budget; monitors expenses to ensure that they stay within budget
    • In liaison with Brand manager, manages local advertising budget. Makes proposals and recommendations regarding media and advertising choices to Brand Manager. Reviews choice of media with Brand Manager and makes specific recommendations as necessary. Ensures best positioning in all media in accordance with Brand Guidelines. Fights for preferably positions to ensure premium positions. Negotiates the best advertising rates; makes proposals on optimizing the advertising dollars via choosing the best advertising vehicles and titles.
    • In addition to point media evaluates other advertising tools such as outdoor & TV, makes proposals on annual campaigns, negotiates the best notes, coverage and GRPs.

Requirements:
  • University level education or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing or marketing-related experience, preferably in the cosmetics/fragrance business (in a similar or related industry)
  • Team-lead experience
  • Maintains close contact with Training, Public Relations, and Consumer Relations on current and upcoming programs to assure proper focus and accurate information
