Business Data Scientist (Relocation to Cyprus)

Exness, a leading fintech company in the CFD trading area, is looking to hire a skilled Business Data Scientist to join our international BI team in Limassol, Cyprus.

You will be responsible for:

• Understanding stakeholders real issue
• Understanding product and helping to find potential for improvement
• Cleaning and understanding the data (checking logic; cleaning outliers if it is needed; make sure that the data does not conflict with existing knowledge; comparing intermediate results with a trusted source, if possible; make a conclusion based on data)
• Develop, modify, and maintain data-driven processes;
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges;
• Deliver actionable, data-driven quantitative analyses;
• Ad hoc data analysis based on requests from the product teams;
• Construct and check hypotheses based on data;
• Analysis and improvement of the existing business development process.

Our Requirements are:

• Higher education (not lower than a master's degree) with a large component of mathematical modeling (applied mathematics, information technology, physics, economics, technical and natural sciences);
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferrable (fintech, banking, payments etc.);
• R or Python experience;
• Deep understanding of product and business metrics;
• Excellent understanding of mathematical statistics;
• Strong experience with predictive machine learning modeling;
• Strong knowledge of SQL (complex queries, analytic functions);
• Excellent data analysis skills (3-5+ years of BI/Analytics experience);
• Previous experience as a product data scientist;
• Ability to translate business problems into quantitative analyses and produce insights;
• Ability to formalize and visualize the results of the data analysis;
• Excellent ability to communicate complex mathematical or technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently and to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines;
• Ability to adapt to constant requirement changes and produce fast solutions;
• Excellent verbal and written communication, fluent Russian, and upper-intermediate English (written and spoken).

As a plus:

• Algorithmic trading experience
• Build econometrics model
