ABB is the only provider of complete mine hoists, both mechanical and electrical parts, of all types including friction, single and double drum mine hoists as well as shaft equipment. Our offering in mine electrification includes, among other things, E-houses, MCC, drives as well as compact power systems. Our mine automation solutions integrate all process equipment and systems seamlessly with the same view either centrally or locally. We are now looking for a Mechanical Installation Supervisor responsible for supervision of Mine Hoist System equipment assembly on customer-site to strengthen our commissioning team in Russia. This position is located in our new Engineering Center in Kaliningrad or near one of the main customer sites with extensive travelling.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Technical supervision of the assembly of the equipment at site;
• Developing a detailed assembly time schedule if required;
• Monitors the progress in the time schedule and staffing plan;
• Report variation order requests and changes to the site manager;
• Monitors the open box inspection at site to determine that the all shipped equipment has arrived undamaged;
• Have no human resource management responsibilities and therefore works with or through the customer's or subcontractor's regulations;
• Responsible for the equipment delivered by us are installed according to our and our suppliers’ instructions to achieve the contractual functionality;
• Supervises the installation so that it is performed in a technically correct manner so that the equipment’s functionality is ensured. Additionally, signs the required documents after completion of the assembly;
• Make customer and subcontractor observant of the instructions, rules and regulations that must be followed;
• Responsible, during the periods in which no site manager is at site, for the site manager's duties under the section site manager in this document;
• Follow and conform to the HSE plan.

Requirements:

• Job Location in Kaliningrad;
• Technician / Mechanical Engineer or Electromechanical Engineer;
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a commissioning engineer/ Mechanical installation supervisor or site manager in mining industry, steel industry or similar process industries;
• Experience of designing or commissioning of Mine Hoist system are must;
• Knowledge of safety regulations according to Industry specific code of practice for Mine Hoist system;
• Advanced English Level;
• Availability to travel extensively.
