The successful candidate will be very hands on – delivering creative vision & world class web design across a range of channels. Responsible for local and remote design team management, this individual will help guide our digital product & communication into the next exciting phase of our company growth.

Responsibilities:

The Web Designer Team Leader is ultimately accountable for production of high-quality, innovative design solutions – whilst also demonstrating solid team management skills.

• Creating high quality designs, graphics, mock ups and layouts for the company website and assets.
• Designing, developing and implementing new sites and landing pages.
• Reviewing, Designing, developing and managing email campaigns.
• Working directly with front end / back end teams to implement designs.
• Leading an international team of web designers based in St. Petersburg, Bucharest and Singapore.

Web Design Team Lead will be involved in close communications with Global Marketing, Remote Web Projects and Development Teams.

Requirements:

• Expert experience with design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
• General understanding of HTML5, CSS, responsive/adaptive design techniques
• Basic understanding of technical platforms and terms (i.e. XML, AJAX, Java, .NET, XAML/WPF, Flex etc.)
• Knowledge of the Windows User Experience Interaction Guidelines
• Bachelor and/or Master Degree in a Relevant Field of Study (i.e. Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Digital Communications, etc. )
• More than 5 years professional experience with interaction and visual design for websites
• Over 3 years team management experience within digital agencies, web design studios or similar in-house departments
• Experience with conceptual design and creative prototypes as well as tactical web design and implementation
• General understanding of user research techniques and their value in the design process
• Abreast of Web design best practices, trends and techniques
• Positive attitude, proactive and helpful
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Solid organizational skills and solid attention to detail
• Ability to articulate aesthetic and visual design principles
• Confident understanding of typography and basic color theory
• Strong visual design portfolio
• Strong team management track record
